Asian Heritage Month 2024

Recognizing the wide-ranging contributions and accomplishments of Asian-identifying students, staff and faculty members

May at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) is Asian Heritage Month. This nationally recognized month honours the legacy and contributions of members of the Asian communities that span East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Western Asia and Central Asia.

Asian Heritage Month at USask begins with a panel discussion followed by a reception May 1, which will take place in the North Concourse of Place Riel (near the USSU main office). For more information about the activities and resources available throughout the month, please visit spotlight.usask.ca.

At USask, our ambition is to be a university for everyone, one where we all belong and can flourish. It’s a commitment the university has laid out in the EDI Framework for Action. This Framework defines our vision for a more equitable, diverse and inclusive university that will be advanced through our strategies and goals. It is through initiatives like Asian Heritage Month that we enrich experiences for all members of the USask community.
