Indigenous Achievement Week (IAW)

This event that celebrates Métis, First Nations and Inuit students, staff, faculty and alumni’s successes

By Jason Belhumeur

Indigenous Achievement Week (IAW) is an annual University of Saskatchewan event that celebrates Métis, First Nations and Inuit students, staff, faculty and alumni’s successes.

The Indigenous students at our College bring with them rich stories, a profound history, and invaluable perspectives that we are committed to honouring and uplifting. Their journey as healthcare providers begins here but extends far beyond their time with us, making significant impacts in their communities.

We stand with them as allies, celebrating their successes and contributions. To honour the commitment to Representation in ohpahotan, we strive to uplift Indigenous peoples within University spaces and places.

Today, we are honoured to hear the powerful stories of two inspiring Indigenous leaders in the fields of pharmacy and nutrition.
