Player of the Year
Canada West announced the Major Award winners for the 2024-25 women's basketball season, and for a sixth consecutive season the Huskies are represented among the conferences best. This year, the Huskies captured two major awards, with Gage Grassick becoming the eighth USask student-athlete to be named Player of the Year and Lisa Thomaidis receiving her seventh Coach of the Year nod.
The announcement of the 2024-25 Major Awards comes just a week after two Huskies were named Canada West All-Stars, with Grassick earning First-Team honours while Logan Reider was named to the Second Team.
