Brian Bandy Retires

The College of Pharmacy and Nutrition is pleased to announce the retirement of Dr. Brian Bandy, Professor in the Division of Nutrition and Dietetics, effective June 30, 2025.

Dr. Bandy has been a valued member of the University of Saskatchewan since 2002, serving in numerous roles including Assistant Dean and Graduate Chair. Over his distinguished academic career, he has made significant contributions to teaching, research, and mentorship. His research in nutritional biochemistry, particularly on the protective effects of polyphenols and antioxidants on mitochondrial function, has been widely recognized and published in leading journals.

Dr. Bandy has supervised and mentored dozens of graduate and undergraduate students, and his dedication to student success and scientific inquiry has left a lasting impact on the college and the broader academic community.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr. Bandy will receive the honorary title of Professor Emeritus upon his retirement from the University of Saskatchewan, effective July 1, 2025.
