20th Reunion of the Pharmacy Class of 2005

College of Pharmacy and Nutrition

The Pharmacy Class of 2005 celebrated its 20th reunion with a heartfelt and nostalgic weekend in Saskatoon. The event began at the University of Saskatchewan’s Health Sciences Building, where the group was warmly welcomed by Dean Jane Alcorn. She offered a guided tour of the impressive new facilities now housing the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition. For many in attendance, the modern labs, classrooms, and learning spaces stood in striking contrast to the more modest rooms they remembered from their time in Thorvaldson.

Despite the upgrades, conversation quickly turned to shared memories — late-night study sessions, the cozy pharmacy lounge, and countless pub crawls and social events that laid the foundation for lifelong friendships. The tour concluded with a group photo, capturing a moment of reconnection and gratitude. The class extended a special thanks to Dean Alcorn for generously sharing her time and insights.

With the weather cooperating beautifully, the reunion continued on the patio at the Cathedral Social Hall, where classmates began catching up over drinks and laughter under the spring sun. Later that evening, the group gathered for supper at Hudson’s Pub, enjoying the semi-private setting that allowed for deeper conversations and plenty of reminiscing. For those still full of energy, the night wrapped up with a lively visit to Finn’s Irish Pub.

Accommodations had been thoughtfully arranged at the Park Town Hotel for out-of-town guests, and the weekend closed on a high note with a delicious brunch at the hotel’s restaurant the next morning. Stories were swapped, hugs exchanged, and before parting ways, everyone agreed — this shouldn't be a one-time event. Plans were already taking shape to gather again in five years.

It was a weekend filled with joy, connection, and a shared appreciation for how far they’d all come — and for the memories that continue to tie them together.
