Whiting recognized with Emeritus Membership Award
Congratulations to Dr. Susan Whiting (PhD) on being recognized with an Emeritus Membership Award by the board of directors of Dietitians of Canada.

Whiting’s nominators described her as one of Canada’s leading nutrition scholars, an internationally recognized authority in vitamin D and calcium supplementation, and an esteemed dietetics educator.
Her 30-year career is defined by her commitment to improving health and preventing disease through nutrition research and critical evidence-based appraisal, publishing over 225 peer-reviewed research articles and contributing to health-enhancing policy changes.
A member of Dietitians of Canada since 1985, she has been a mentor to hundreds of nutrition and dietetic students. She is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and was recognized with career achievement awards from the Canadian Nutrition Society and the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.
