Staff Spotlight: Poppy Lowe

Poppy is a registered dietitian who graduated from the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition after doing her internship with the Saskatoon Health Region in 2005.

She first joined the college in 2007 as a professional practice course assistant and Nutrition Resource and Volunteer Centre Administrator. She was in this position until 2012. In August of 2013, she joined the college again as a Nutrition Professional Skills Coordinator. In her position she coordinates nutrition assessment and clinical nutrition laboratories as well as facilitates experiences for the students in interprofessional education opportunities. Poppy enjoys working with undergraduate and graduate students.

Poppy maintains her clinical dietitian practice on the hemodialysis unit at St. Paul’s Hospital. She started at the dialysis unit in September of 2008 and continues to enjoy working with her dialysis clients, interprofessional staff and nutrition practicum students.

Outside of work, Poppy enjoys curling, golfing, reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
