Patient Resources

Chronic Disease Management

We have put together a list of patient-friendly resources for a variety of chronic conditions. Our recommended resources come from reputable sources of evidence-based information.

Sleep Problems

Many people struggle with poor sleep. MAC pharmacists specialize in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i) to help people get off their sleeping pills and sleep better.

Chronic Pain and Opioid Use

Our MAC iOPS service specializes in chronic pain management and opioid use.

Chronic Pain Toolkit

We have developed a toolkit to help our patients navigate the best resources available to help manage chronic pain.

Opioid Safety and Naloxone Training

We train people how to respond to an opioid overdose with naloxone and provide take home naloxone kits to eligible MAC iOPS patients.

Patient Education Booklets

Please check out these booklets designed by our partner, RxFiles. They will answer several of the questions you may have about chronic pain and opioid use.

Volunteer Opportunity!

Are you someone living with chronic pain or supporting someone who does?

Are you interested in helping to develop new ways for your community to help and support people living with chronic pain? If you are interested and at least 18 years of age, are comfortable communicating in English or have a translator who can help, and are located in Saskatoon, please contact our research team from the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the University of Saskatchewan - Jessica Jack jll907@usask.ca

Note that you do not have to be presently experiencing chronic pain to take part in this study. If you have any questions or concerns about your rights as a research participant or a study related injury, you may contact the Chair of the Research Ethics Board at (306) 766-5533.
