MSC's Corner

From the USSU to you.

Are you looking for a way to get more involved next year?

Do you have a passion for making campus a better place?

Are you interested in learning more about how the University works?

Does the prospect of having to plan an event fill you with dread?

If you answered Yes to any of the above, please consider the position of Pharmacy and Nutrition MSC!

As MSC, you would sit as a voting member on the SPNSS Council, the USSU University Student Council, and on University Council as a representative of the student body. In this role you are free to work on the issues that interest you, and there are no event planning requirements related to this position!

 IMPORTANT

If this has at all interested you, there are some things you must do in order to run in the election:

Elections for MSCs are run through the USSU.

-attend a mandatory USSU orientation meeting in Upper Place Riel on Feb. 27th at 4:00 pm, where nomination forms will be available for pick-up.

-submit nominations forms by Mar. 3rd (at the USSU main office) by 4:00 pm

-attend a mandatory procedures meeting on Mar. 3rd at 4:30 pm.

However, if these meeting times do not work for you, you can arrange individual meetings with enough notice. Email caroline.cottrell@ussu.ca to find another time (or contact the current MSC, Alexa!).

If you have any questions about this role at all, please feel free to contact your current MSC (Alexa at alexa.mcewen@usask.ca ), attend a University Student Council meeting (in Room 110.3 Upper Place Riel at 6:00 pm on Feb. 16th or Feb. 23rd) and/or attend a University Council meeting (in Arts 241 at 2:30 pm on Feb. 16th).

[There are also two Indigenous Student and two International Student MSC positions available, which can be filled by any self identified Aboriginal and International student, respectively. In these positions you would only be expected to attend University Student Council meetings (there is no requirement to liaise with the SPNSS). The same election requirements exist for running for these positions as outlined above.]
