Bioanalytical Expertise & Training Hub
Towards better health
Measuring substances in patients, food, agricultural products, and the environment
Welcome
The Bioanalytical Expertise and Training Hub
We are both a training hub for bioanalysis using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry and an expert resource in bioanalysis that supports collaborative research. As a training hub, we guide trainees towards developing bioanalytical skills that can be applied for their perspective projects. Each trainee receives theoretical and hands-on training tailored to their own projects. At the end of the training, a trainee is expected to become an independent user. We foster critical thinking, networking, collaborative approaches to solving research problems and team spirit. As well, our expertise in bioanalysis allows us to foster a strong collaborative approach to discovery research.
We cater to a diverse group of high-quality personnel, including M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, undergraduate students, visiting students and scholars, postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, research associates, technicians, and faculty members.

Our Work
The work conducted in our hub is diverse. Examples of recent work involve the analysis of mycotoxins for food crops, in-vitro fertilization for animals, study of cannabinoids in humans and animals, assessing the fate of lipid-based drug delivery systems, development of new therapies for multiple sclerosis, and developing urine diagnosis for respiratory illnesses.
