Pharmacy preceptors are the heart of the EL program. 

Preceptors are key members of the EL team, as they provide opportunities for students to learn, apply knowledge, and demonstrate competencies in real-world settings. Preceptors serve as role models and their contribution to student learning cannot be over-emphasized.

Each site has a primary preceptor who assumes the primary responsibility for students, including completing formal evaluations and assessments. However, other pharmacists and staff often participate in students' learning experiences.
